![]() 2 Trips in one weekend, a first for us, braving the 40c + heat, we made our way to Xishan saturday for the first time since the bike park closed last year to see how the islands have changed. ![]() We found that the 2 small island trails have now been extended to make really nice single track loops around each island, both with stunning views of the lake. ![]() The heat was crazy this weekend, over 40c, every bit of shade was well recieved! There was no way we were going to be able to cover alot of kilometres on this trip but it was a reminder how beautifull this area is and being so close to shanghai, we will go again next month for sure, plenty still to explore on the larger islands too. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sunday we headed to Hangzhou, with the temperature still in the 40's we made our way to Maojiabu near west lake. Home of, in my opinion of Hangzhou's best dh track and some serious cross country loops. ![]() Luckily for us it was too hot for the mosquitos that usually plague this area, nearly all of the riding in this area is under tree cover too so we were spared the full 40 degrees. The resteraunt where we park served really well as a pit stop for cold beers and food too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
